American Universities Stopping Students from Handing out the Constitution

It is getting worse than anything I could have imagined:

Two students are suing the University of Hawaii for violating their First Amendment rights after administrator prevented them from distributing copies of the U.S. Constitution — demonstrating a frightening lack of knowledge about the very legal document they were attempting to censor.

Students Merritt Burch and Anthony Vizzone, members of the Young Americans for Liberty chapter at UH-Hilo, were prevented from handing out copies of the Constitution at a recruitment event in January. A week later, they were again informed by a censorship-minded administrator that their First Amendment-protected activities were in violation of school policy.

The students were told that they could only distribute literature from within UH-Hilo’s “free speech zone,” a small, muddy, frequently-flooded area on the edge of campus.

Administrators further clarified their level of respect for students’ free speech rights, making comments like, “This isn’t really the ’60s anymore,” and “people can’t really protest like that anymore,” according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education.

About fafc

The goal of the “Find a Free Country Project” is to research, explore and find a safe and secure free country outside the USA, that is not too large, has a relatively open immigration policy, has a friendly business climate, has a non-intrusive government committed to freedom, and then move to it.

As disgusting as this behavior is, it is good that “universities” such as this one are openly showing their colors, so that normal people can avoid them.

Even though we generally discuss the degeneration of Western universities on this website, the elementary and high schools are no better in regards to the direction they are heading in, so I would think that a lot of people would consider homeschooling important, thus I found this map which shows which countries allow homeschooling: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeschooling_international_status_and_statistics#/media/File:Legality_of_Homeschooling.svg

If I had it to do over I would have never allowed any of my children to go to any public are private school in the USA. My oldest son was actually home schooled until 12 years old and we had few problems with him. Then when he went to public school (one of the best in the USA supposedly), everything started going to shit. My daughter has always gone to public schools (again only the best), but I am very unsatisfied with the quality of the education and the nature of the indoctrination. And it doesn’t get any better by going to a private school. I blame my ex-wife. She just decided that we had to ‘get with the program’ and be like everyone else. I suppose she probably blames me for always wanting to be better. That is one of the reasons we are divorced.

Graduate employment in Cyprus among lowest in Europe: https://cyprus-mail.com/2019/04/11/graduate-employment-in-cyprus-among-lowest-in-europe/

“Its Education & Training Monitor 2018 found the highest employment rates of graduates are in Malta with 94.5 per cent, followed by Germany (90.9 per cent) and the Netherlands (90.4 per cent).

At the bottom of the scale is Greece, where the rate is just 52 per cent. Italy is not far behind with 55.2 per cent, followed by Croatia (65.9 per cent) and Cyprus with 71.5 per cent.”

Yet another list where Croatia is at or near the bottom.

Yes, I really don’t know who the moochers here plan to parasite off in the future, they are destroying the country in every way and the mass emigration happening now hasn’t been seen since the days of the communist mass murderer Tito.

Socialists don’t seem to spend a lot of time thinking through things. Their lives are run by feelings, and when the feelings don’t work out the way they wanted them to, they quickly blame someone else. It seems that once a country begins on that path it does not change until things hit rock bottom. There is no more money to steal and there are no more people to blame.

          • Croatian Capitalist says:

The only “feelings” the commies here have are greed and envy, and yes, you are right, things here won’t change for the better until the country hits rock bottom, or as you Americans say; until the “beast” is “starved”.
