Eurabia’s Mental Disorder: Is it suicidal or delusional?

During the last hundred years much of Europe has abandoned its traditional values in a fit of cultural suicidal depression brought on by the catastrophes of the twentieth century. Currently Europe has effectively surrendered to Islam. Those few patches that resist these suicidal impulses seem to be suffering from psychotic delusions that someone or something is going to save them without having to do very much themselves.

In 1996 Europeans should have realized they were in trouble when Bill Clinton was re-elected president after a first term punctuated by constant scandal and failure. But instead they celebrated: America was becoming more like Europe. When Americans re-elected Bill Clinton they abandoned the traditional values that made America different from the jaded and jaundiced Europeans, and took their first steps towards European nihilism. Perhaps Europe celebrated out of a sense of shared values (or more exactly lack of values) and comradeship based upon shared vices, but I think most candid observers must now look back and realize that with the corruption of America came the abandonment of Europe by the USA. A strong socially conservative USA was the only thing standing between European decadence and forces bent on Europe’s destruction.

Now Europe is alone, surrounded by hostile forces, rotting from within, and surrendering its cities to intolerant fanatics that know only violence and resentment. Who knows what comfort can be found in concealing these suicidal tendencies in utopian fantasies and political correctness?

But what of those few bastions of resistance? Those countries that have managed to avoid the demographic decline caused by low native birth rates, destructive socialist economic policies, and high immigration rates from incompatible Islamic cultures. Is there any hope for them? Although some have avoided the societal suicide taking place in France, Sweden, the UK, and other more “liberal” Western countries, they have no real solutions of their own. The are weak, isolated, and confused. Instead of facing the recognized threats with determination and commitment, they are doing little and hoping for a miracle; perhaps a hero will rescue them. Twenty-five years ago that hero was the USA. Now America is little better than the rest of Europe, and certainly not to be relied upon.

There seems little cause for hope. The West and all its wonders is fading away. The East offers little more than technocratic competence built on feet of clay with no sense of rugged resolve. Latin America is sinking into a miasma of socialist economic collapse and cultural degradation. Russia is acting like a resentful confused child running around with a loaded gun. Africa…

We are watching the collapse of civilization. The dawning of a new dark age.

Perhaps the only hope for the future will lie in isolated bastions, perhaps hidden and remote. Where will they develop, who will create and defend them, and what will happen to everyone else?

About fafc

The goal of the “Find a Free Country Project” is to research, explore and find a safe and secure free country outside the USA, that is not too large, has a relatively open immigration policy, has a friendly business climate, has a non-intrusive government committed to freedom, and then move to it.

I don’t believe that civilization will collapse, but even if America, the UK, France, etc. did collapse and their current territories do become third World, civilization would continue in other places and they would benefit from receiving the best and brightest emigrants from the collapsed countries, I am guessing that the countries that would benefit the most would be Australia, New Zealand, Japan, (South) Korea, Taiwan and some sort of new European Union (probably featuring Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Finland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, (Eastern) Germany, Austria, Switzerland and (Western) Ukraine) that would be formed upon the collapse of the current EU, maybe even Russia and China if they got their act together by then.

    • fafc says:

I think there may be pockets of civility but not civilization. And these pockets would be under constant attack.

      • fafc says:

A certain robustness in all things. Ancient Greece was a civilization, modern Greece not so much. Isolated pockets of people hiding from barbarians, not so much. These pockets of civility may lead to a return of civilization…

        • Croatian Capitalist says:

OK, but I don’t see how a bunch of collapsed third World countries could be a serious threat to those “pockets (which would in my view encompass the majority of Central and Eastern Europe (+ Denmark and Finland), the majority of Asia, Australia and New Zealand)” most of the people called “barbarians” by the Romans were actually quite civilized (for their time anyway), some even more so than the Romans themselves, the mindless savages of today like ISIS have nothing in common with them, and would pose no real threat to those “pockets”, remember, if America falls, “liberalism” will go down with it, so those “pockets” would have zero tolerance for fifth-columnists.

There isn’t a European country that could defend itself from a determined band of Girl Scouts, let alone a Russian invasion. How about the Turks? or Libyans? Hell, the Europeans can’t defend themselves from their own people.

As for Rome, it was not the barbarians that destroyed it, but the Romans themselves. That is what will happen here as well. Rome was already a mess before the Franks & Goths took over. The roads were crumbling, the aquaducts were failing, the bureacracy was huge but couldn’t accomplish anything. A very sad story of an civilization collapsing from within.

  2. Croatian Capitalist says:

    How do you define “civilization”?

  3. Croatian Capitalist says:

The Russians are Europeans as well, and by the time America collapsed, Russia might well have fixed it’s own major problems, either way, Russian rule is far preferable to Wahhabi one.

The Turks were beaten by the Balkan League 100 years ago and will be beaten again in the future if they decide to invade, while the Libyans are weak and posse no military threat to Europe.

    • fafc says:

I must admit that the Russians may end up being the “saviors” of Europe in the end, but they will be rather brutal saviors that never get the thanks they believe they deserve. As for the rest, again Europe is rotten from within. It cannot control its own cities. It would have no chance against anything. The Romans were the same near the end. Roaming packs of hungry German refugees on old worn out ponies took over what the Romans were abandoning. Usually without a fight. Europe will collapse from within, then the scavengers will pick the bones clean.

Which cities are you referring to? Certain countries (France and Sweden for example) do have some problematic neighborhoods and/or suburbs, but the vast majority of European cities have no such problems, and the problems of even the most problematic ones are nothing compared to the problems of American cities such as Detroit, New Orleans, Saint Louis and Baltimore.

    • fafc says:

Pretty much any city that has allowed Muslims to take over and impose Sharia. These are not a few neighborhoods, but sprawling ghettos filled with dangerous national enemies. And the Europeans pretend its not a problem. Pointing out how the situation is no different than in failed socialist wastelands in the USA rather proves my point.

      • Croatian Capitalist says:

Sharia law is banned even in Turkey, and it isn’t legal anywhere in the EU except in one Greek province (and it applies to Muslims only) as a result of the Treaty of Lausanne.

Please name at least a few of those European cities that have “allowed Muslims to take over and impose Sharia”, since I would like to avoid them if that is indeed the case.

        • fafc says:

Please. In every major Western European city with a significant Muslim minority you see “no go” sections where even the police are afraid to enter (UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc.). The areas are controlled by Sharia Courts (I am sure they are really worried about that being illegal), bands of Sharia Patrols (young Muslim men, often armed, making sure everyone complies), and plagued by rape gangs that target non-Muslim women and children. The police can or will do nothing. The media refuses to report on it. If you complain and get some attention, there is a very good chance you will be prosecuted for racist hate speech by the very authorities that are turning a blind eye; Brigitte Bardot et al.

Ten years ago I went to France with my family. I had been visiting France regularly for the past 30 years. I was shocked. The streets were covered in garbage (no there was no strike going on — it is not in the French nature to throw garbage on the ground), instead of lovers walking hand in hand down the Seine, there were packs of Muslim women in burqas and hijab and packs of Muslim men roaming the streets aimlessly and threateningly. A few months before I had a business meeting in Frankfurt, and frankly it looked more like Damascus or Amman. Everyone seemed to be in a burqa or hijab. Friends who have visited tell me that France is even worse now, and that Frankfurt is even more Islamic than when I was there.

And no one will say anything because if you do you are attacked as racist. Western Europe is dying if not already dead. Sad.

  5. Croatian Capitalist says:

I have been to many major Western Europeans cities (Amsterdam, Rome, Munich, Stuttgart, Barcelona, Madrid, Vienna, Zurich, etc.), including the parts where the Muslims live, and even though they are mostly more run-down than the other parts, they are hardly no-go zones, but then again, I have never been to the UK, France or Sweden, and the structure of the Muslims immigrants is also different there (in France most Muslims are Africans, while in Germany the vast majority of them are Turks, Bosniaks, Kurds and Iranians).

As for the rape-gangs, even the mainstream media has reported on those cases and the rapists have been convicted on several occasions, and wearing a burqa or whatever doesn’t equal the area having Sharia law, you can find such women even here in Croatia, and we have no Sharia law anywhere.

    • fafc says:

They have only been reported on after hundreds of cases. Most of them were initially covered up and the authorities refused to prosecute. In the UK the authorities have been absolutely atrocious, but France has not been much better. A non-Muslim woman who is raped by a Muslim has zero chance of seeing her attacker prosecuted unless the man walks into a police station and confesses. The French Muslims don’t seem to operate in gangs like the UK or Swedish Muslims. What a difference.

  6. Croatian Capitalist says:

*=Kurds are Iranian/Iranic as well, but I was referring to the Turkish-born ones.
