It seems to be common knowledge that tyrants rule through Fear. The more insecure the tyrant, the more terror is utilized as a tool to control the People.
However, often ignored, Hopelessness is also a powerful tool for the tyrant. People who are fearful will allow the tyrant to carry on freely. But there will still be those few Patriots who are brave and courageous enough to stand up to the tyrant. Since most tyrants have few truly committed followers, this is a very dangerous situation for the tyrant.
No, Fear is not enough. To completely and totally destroy the will of the people, Hopelessness must exist. Hopelessness will accomplish what Fear alone could not do.
Now what is the best way to rob the brave and the courageous of their Hope? There are many ways to try to rob someone of Hope, but I think Betrayal is the number one way. Difficult obstacles will not deter the determined, fearful odds will not deter the clever, propaganda will not deter the wise, but Betrayal from within robs the strongest of any Hope to succeed. If you cannot trust those who are on your side, who can you trust?
It seems to me that the Republican Party no longer serves any practical purpose other than that of Betrayal. By repeatedly abandoning all the things that the Republican Party once stood for, Patriots are left Hopeless and defeated.
Am I wrong here?
That the Republicans have betrayed America is blatantly obvious, they now have the power to do away with all of the anti-American laws, but yet they do next to nothing about it.
