In the face of a worldwide economic crisis, Russia seems to be the only country willing to voluntarily cut some of the fat. And no one is holding a sword over Russia’s head like in Greece or other European countries. Russia is acting responsibly. Whatever you think about Putin’s foreign policy, don’t you wish your government acted like this?

I definitely do, even though in Croatia the percentage of “civil servants” that should get fired is closed to 90% than to 10%.
Any cut is good and generally unlikely. In almost every country the growth of the government staff increases regardless of circumstances.
Yes, it is a rare sight in the majority of the World, even though the giant and inefficient public sectors are one of the biggest reasons (if not the biggest one) why countries such as Greece, Spain, etc. are in the trouble they are.
