The GOP Sells Out Again — What a Surprise

Usually I enjoy saying, “I told you so!”, but not in this case. It is too depressing and too important. In December 2014 I posted Nullification of the November 2014 American Election when the Republicans agreed to pass yet another corrupt Omnibus spending bill giving Obama and the Democrats everything they wanted. Then the Republicans claimed they could not stop the illegal Obama executive orders on the grounds that the new Congress would come in and take a stand. They needed reinforcements!

Well they got the reinforcements and nothing has changed.

When are conservatives in the USA going to realize that there is no hope to be found in the Republican Party or in anything to be found in Washington DC?!

In December I pointed out that conservatives have 3 choices:

1. Organize and act in some manner to defend the freedoms and liberties that your ancestors fought for and left to you as an inheritance (it does not have to be violent but it must be active — enough with surly passivity),

2. Leave this country while you still can and work to establish the cherished freedoms and liberties we were raised to admire somewhere else, or

3. Do nothing and stand by helplessly watching as the shackles of dictatorship become heavier, more obvious, and more destructive.

The American People, conservatives, and all those loud-mouthed “patriots” who are going to “go down fighting” have clearly chosen Number 3: DO NOTHING. Well at least they will have someone to blame other than themselves: The GOP.

About fafc

The goal of the “Find a Free Country Project” is to research, explore and find a safe and secure free country outside the USA, that is not too large, has a relatively open immigration policy, has a friendly business climate, has a non-intrusive government committed to freedom, and then move to it.

What I find surprising is not so much the lack of patriotism on the GOP’s part, but rather their lack of a sense of self-preservation, since they must know that if amnesty is passed, they are finished as a national party, and even on the local/state level they would lose Texas, Arizona, Florida, etc., so their behavior is very strange.

    • fafc says:

Indeed. It rather makes me believe in conspiracy theories that involve the Democrats and Republicans joining together in a not-so-secret scheme to extort and control the USA. However such a conspiracy would depend upon an ignorant, detached, deluded, and apathetic citizenry passively allowing it to continue. That could never happen!

  2. Croatian Capitalist says:

:D, but no, I don’t believe in conspiracy theories, some people are just incomprehensibly stupid and/or greedy, and that seems to be the case with the GOP leadership.

    • fafc says:

Conspiracies exist. The very fact that they so often fail is evidence of it. People do make too much of conspiracies; try to use them to explain bizarre and outrageous theories. People do join together to form undertakings when they have common beliefs, motivations, and goals. Our political system has become just such a “conspiracy”; but as I said not-so-secret. Politicians from both parties generally become corrupt extortionists as soon as they get to Washington DC. A very good book I read last year: Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, and Line Their Own Pockets. His best line is: The problem is not that there is too much money in politics; the problem is that there is too much politics in money. Politicians get into every aspect of our lives so that they can extract illegal and corrupt rents from the system. And everyone knows it. that is why voting for Republicans doesn’t help. The system is what has been corrupted, and voting for someone who you think is a “good guy” won’t help. Just look a Ted Cruz for example: I really like him, but since getting into DC he has done absolutely nothing other than irritate the GOP elite, and as a result he has accomplished nothing and never will accomplish anything. That is a conspiracy.

      • fafc says:

Add to the corruption and abuse ego and desire, and you have a recipe for a corrupt system. again Ted Cruz. I believe he went to DC to change things. He has changed nothing. Now he wants to run for President. He will need lots of money to do that. So even if he has good intentions he is going to have to turn into the very same corrupt politicians he went there to oppose.

  3. Croatian Capitalist says:

Well, yes, if you define it as two or more people joining together to achieve some common goal, then conspiracies do exist, but when I hear somebody say “conspiracy theory”, I think of those crackpots who blame the Jews, the Freemasons, the Illuminati, reptilian aliens, etc for everything they perceive to be wrong with the World.

As for Ted Cruz, he has a book coming out soon:

    • fafc says:

I try not to be one of those crackpots, but sometimes I just cannot hold it in! Particularly in regards to the reptilian aliens! Of course that whole reptilian thing was just an inside joke/code for Jews. European anti-defamation laws made in illegal to accuse the Jews of all those things so the same people just started calling them reptilian aliens. Then idiots who heard them, without understanding the back story, believed they were talking about real aliens! The neo-nazis who started the whole thing had such a good time out of it, and made so much money, that they have continued with that theory ever since, and hopefully have left us Jews alone.

  4. Croatian Capitalist says:

The neo-nazis are the biggest crackpots of all, on one hand they claim that Jews are inferior, while on the other hand they claim that Jews (who make up 0,21% of the World’s population) control the entire World.
