Is Armenia a Reasonable Place to Consider?

Like Georgia but not to the same extent, I no longer trust Armenia because of the tendency of some Armenians to irrationally lean towards Europe and the USA. Maybe it is because so much of the global Armenian population lives in Europe and the USA. But then if that was the case it would be countered in both Georgia and Armenia by the large populations living in Russia. Even in Russia you see this irrational desire to be part of ‘The West’ — the only problem being is that they don’t really understand ‘The West’. Its a gigantic fantasy fed by wishful thinking; perhaps even magical thinking.

Until I see Georgia and Armenia fully reject the fantasy of ‘The West’ I simply cannot trust those countries. I think that goes for just about every other country on earth.

About fafc

The goal of the “Find a Free Country Project” is to research, explore and find a safe and secure free country outside the USA, that is not too large, has a relatively open immigration policy, has a friendly business climate, has a non-intrusive government committed to freedom, and then move to it.

If Armenia normalizes relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, it would probably be an OK option to consider. Anyway, I can’t sign into Slack, do you have the same problem?

  2. Armenia will soon hold military drills with the USA, it is talking about leaving the CSTO, called out Russia for being useless in helping Armenia defend itself from Azerbaijan, it is trying to improve its relationship with Ukraine, etc., so it would appear Armenia is preparing to change sides…

The Azeris started a new military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh yesterday and today the Armenians have already surrendered and it looks like now Nagorno-Karabakh will be completely reintegrated into Azerbaijan.
