No, the military has not failed the American People. The American People have failed the military. It is not the job of the US military to prevent a socialist dictatorship from being implemented under the noses of the American People.
But whoever you want to blame, it is time to have an exit strategy.

I don’t really blame the American military (or other Western militaries for that matter) for not intervening, look at countries where the military did intervene and bring order, what happened after that? As soon as elections were reintroduced, the people voted for leftists and things started going downhill, plus many members of those militaries were tried and jailed, so why should members of the military risk their freedom, their jobs, their pensions and maybe even their lives for the ungrateful sheeple? The economical illiteracy and general stupidity of the average American are the problems, not the American military’s inaction.
